Had for the first time tonight. Was actually on the way to Hard Eight when R&R caught my eye and I remembered that I had promised myself that I'd try it sometime.
I got the 2 meat plate (basket) with brisket and ribs and beans/potato salad for sides. With a small drink, the total was $10.50 which was fair. Brisket looked very lean and dry until I actually put a fork on it and it totally came apart. VERY tender and even moist -- excellent! The sauce is a sweet variety and very traditional tasting. Ribs were a tad dry but tasted great. Meat came right off the bone and was cooked perfectly. I could taste a bit of smoke on them but it wasn't too bad. One thing I did notice about the meats is that they don't have the char crust that most places have. They must cook them covered up which isn't bad - just another take.
Potato salad was good and traditional. The beans were amazing. Usually sides don't blow your skirt up, but these were some of the best. They have a sweetness to them that blends in perfectly with the pepper/salty seasoning and makes for a unique taste.
R&R was very good and I do believe I will be coming here again! Their new restaurant is very clean and has a great atmosphere. -

Service was terrible the first time with lots of fat on the meat. (I understand brisket and has fat on it but this w as excessive. Salad bar was not fresh at all, flies. We think everyone has an off day so we felt that we should give it another try. We did. Same story except I asked for lean meat. The meat was lean but 3 very thin strips each of the about 2"x3" or less. I said that's not very much and they just said that's what I wanted was lean. Argumentative.
I'll continue to go to Hard 8 where I ask for lean and they don't charge extra or even act snotty about it. They gladly give what the customer asks for and then asks if that is to my liking.
Dissapointed in R& R to say the least. -

Great BBQ at really good prices! Brisket was tender, great smoke ring, tasted good. Ribs - meat fell of the bone! Turkey was a little dry, but their sauce helped doctor it up. Their sausage is good too. Good choice of sides too! Nice, clean dinning room with plenty of seating. Seem to have really great specials during the week. Was impressed with their friendly staff and speed in which my order came out. Best BBQ in Stephenville!

If I could give this place NO stars I would! They say that they make their potato salad fresh, which they may very well do, but it sure doesn't taste like it, plus, they put WAY to much mustard in it. Don't even get me started on the crap they want to call BBQ! It was dry and even my 13 year old daughter who will literally eat anything, (loves chocolate covered crickets) and even she spit it out! I was HIGHLY disappointed in this place and they should take the BBQ sign down and put up another one that says, "pig slop."

We were driving through and spotted the sign. They made sure we knew how long it would take, and they have times written on the special sign. I guess they get asked that a lot. The salads bar it's well stocked and the chopped brisket sandwich was better than most bbq places. Id go again!
